"Soccer is a beautiful sport, why not play it?"
- Kim Reynolds
When I started out as a soccer player at the age of 8, I knew I would love this game forever. By the age of 9, we started our first all girls competitive team, Raggamuffins, in Apopka. It was a group of girls from all different walks of life, who came together and created a sisterhood.
Just a few short years later, we were known as one of the top teams in Florida. That was largely due to our head coach, Jim Powell. He had an incredible passion to see kids succeed in learning the game of soccer!
Growing under his coaching, and leadership, that same passion became my own later in life. This camp signifies the importance of wanting to instill the love, growth and knowledge in players who love this game! I felt a sense of obligation to teach kids from all walks and ages the skills necessary to play the “beautiful game.”
